Question: An insurance broker pulled a muscle while lifting boxes in the office. A doctor issued prescription muscle relaxers. Is it compensable? -Nate B. 3/15/21
Assuming that lifting boxes was a work related task, this would be a compensable injury. In order for an injury to compensable in Idaho, the injury must "arise within the course and scope of the employee’s employment." If lifting the boxes was part of the brokers scope of work, this injury would most likely be compensable. -McKell S. 3/15/21
